Our story · Union City Farm

Rooted in passion.

Mush Love is Pat’s small-batch mushroom farm and apothecary: functional tinctures, mushroom coffee and mushroom foods, grown and made with love in Prospect, Connecticut.

A journey rooted in passion

One mushroom sparked a shift.

Before the tinctures, the coffee and the jars, there was a first grow. Here’s how Pat tells it.

A round, shaggy lion’s mane mushroom fruiting from the side of a clear grow bag on a wooden shelf
Lion’s mane, fruiting from its grow bag.

Growing my first mushroom sparked a shift I couldn’t ignore. It taught me patience, connection, and the joy of watching something truly alive take shape.

That moment inspired me to build a farm of my own, run with intention and care. My goal is to share the health and healing these fungi offer, bringing better wellness to anyone they touch.

The Mush Love logo: a hand making the sign-language “I love you” sign, with red-and-white amanita caps on the raised index and little fingers

The story behind the logo

A hand that says I love you.

Our logo is the sign-language sign for “I love you”, with the thumb, index and little finger raised. Look closer and the two raised fingertips wear amanita caps. Mushrooms, plus love: that’s the Mush Love.

The sign folds three letters of the manual alphabet into one hand shape:

  • I from the little finger
  • L from the thumb and index finger
  • Y from the thumb and little finger
